The Cold and Rain Provides

October finally saw some rain in the Capital Region of New York and with the rain, the Mushrooms showed up in Force!  Read on to see all the mushrooms we identified on the Indian Ladder Farms’ campus during the month.  Our October dinner was a trip through the spices of southeast Asia! Ruchi served up a series of courses inspired by cuisines across India. It was such a delight!

Our salts have made a come back with the approach of the holiday season!  We have several varieties in small batches available at the Corner Spore and our Market Stand at the Troy Waterfront Market (now inside the Atrium between 3rd and 4th streets.)

The Eagle has landed!  It took us nearly a year (Thank you for your patience Unity House) to figure out how to affordably and safely move our Eagle Sterilizer.  Thanks to Elijah Davis with Davis Roadside Services it is now parked at our new home.  We won’t be able to use this in our current layout, but we are planning a future stage when we can fire this effective sterilizing workhorse back up!

The Rustic Barn did a mushroom pizza popup as a special request for chef Dave’s birthday party!  Capital Region news personality Lydia Kulbida heard about it and had to come try it herself!

The Berne Public Library held an adult craft night where they created acorn mushroom dioramas.  They came out so cute!  We may be doing a workshop to make these in the near future!

We made a new batch of triple extract lions’ mane tincture (cold water, hot water, alcohol).  This new batch will hit shelves in November (it takes a while to extract all the active components)

PSILOCYBIN CORNER

October continued to yield many ways our psilocybin advocacy has reached new ears.  From our monthly meetings to radio and social media spots, we continued to get the word out.

We had to shuffle our guest speakers a bit for our monthly meeting, and Bianca Schnarr provided an incredible presentation about what happens inside the brain after consuming psilocybin-containing mushrooms.  You can watch our October meeting here:
